TRAVELERS AID INTERNATIONAL ELECTS THREE NEW BOARD MEMBERS
Washington DC —Travelers Aid International, the national association for Travelers Aid agencies across the country, elected three new members to its Board of Directors at its recent meeting in Washington, DC. All three new members will serve terms until June 2006.
- Kathleen Baldwin is President of Travelers Aid Society of San Diego, a position she has held for 5 years. She was previously the executive director of the Camp Fire Boys and Girls for San Diego . She holds a masters degree from Pepperdine University and a bachelors degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara . She maintains affiliations with the San Diego Lions Club, the United Way and the Coronado Yacht Club. She resides in Coronado, CA .
- Pamela L. Boswell is Vice President, Program Management and Educational Services at the American Public Transportation Association in Washington , DC , America ’s foremost organization dedicated to the advancement of public transportation. Prior to joining APTA, Ms. Boswell served in management positions with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey . She has served on technical advisory panels for the Transportation Research Board and maintains affiliations with numerous professional organizations, including the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials. She is an alumna of Clark Atlanta University and Duke University . She is a resident of Laurel, MD.
- Ross B. Capon is Executive Director of the National Association of Railroad Passengers in Washington , DC , and has been with that organization for 30 years. He testifies frequently before Congressional committees about legislation affecting passenger railroads and is a member of the Federal Railroad Administration’s Railroad Safety Advisory Committee. He also helped establish Amtrak’s Customer Advisory Committee. A resident of Bethesda , MD , he is a native of Newton , Massachusetts , and holds a B.A. from the University of Illinois (Champaign-Urbana).
In joining the Travelers Aid International board, Baldwin, Boswell and Capon join a distinguished 21-person national Board of Directors drawn from Travelers Aid member agencies and the business community, including transportation executives.
