TRAVELERS AID INTERNATIONAL ADDS 6 NEW MEMBERS TO ROSTER – INCLUDES 2 OF NATION’S TOP 10 AIRPORTS

Washington DC —Travelers Aid International, the national association for Travelers Aid agencies, has added 6 new agencies to its membership roster, bringing its total network of travel assistance agencies to 54. Travelers Aid now operates programs in 8 of the top 10 airports in North America . The new member agencies are:

• McCarran International Airport (LAS), Las Vegas , NV . McCarran is the 6 th busiest airport in North America , with more than 41 million passengers.
  
• The Houston Airport System has also joined TAI. They operate two common carrier airports:

• George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) , North America ’s 10 th busiest airport with more than 36 million passengers
• W P Hobby Airport (HOU) with more than 8 million passengers

• Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport (PHF) , Newport News , Virginia . Handled over 1 million passengers in 2005.

• Jacksonville Aviation Authority, Jacksonville , Florida . The Jacksonville Airport (JAX) serves 4.9 million passengers per year.

• Travellers Aid Society of Victoria, Melbourne , Australia . Maintains five locations in Melbourne including the Melbourne Airport . Becomes the second member agency located outside of the United States , joining Travellers’ Aid Society of Toronto.

• Catholic Charities Bureau, Inc., Lake City , Florida .

In welcoming the new members, Raymond M. Flynt, President of Travelers Aid International, said, “We are thrilled to add these six outstanding organizations to our family of Travelers Aid programs, enabling our organization to assist even more individuals who need help as they travel.
