  • 4/16: Reminder to PLEASE fill out the Travelers Aid Survey – please tell us what you think! We sent an email with the link.
  • 4/16: In Terminal 2: Baggage Carousel 1 is now closed for repairs.
  • Door #5 in Terminal 1 has been fixed.
  • MWAA Police have noticed an uptick in baggage theft, so if you see anything suspicious, please call the non-emergency number.
  • T1 Parking Update: Approximately 60 spots are unusable due to structural repairs. The repairs are expected to be completed by July.
  • April 8 – Half Moon Empanadas is now open. The location is Concourse B. Hours are 4:30am-10pm.
  • At all the checkpoints: There are new bins to dispose liquids.
  • SmarteCarte News: Ella no longer works with SmarteCarte. If any location needs service please contact Fasil at 240-688-1472. (This information has been updated in the Information Guide.)
  • Please sign up for the Volunteer Appreciation lunch if you have not done so already.
  • 3/29 – We have restocked the sunflower lanyards at all desks and podiums.
  • 3/29 – Lucky Buns is open. The restaurant is located in National Hall near the B Concourse.
  • 3/29 – Just a reminder that Good Stuff Eatery in Concourse B has re-opened after being closed for a few weeks.
  • 3/28 – We have added information on desk opening and closing procedures to the ring of laminates.
  • 3/28 – Change to Hotels Link on the Dashboard: There is now only one link to Hotels and it covers all DC, Virginia and Maryland hotels. When you click on the link you will immediately see the DC hotels. Scroll down and you should see tabs on the bottom for Virginia and Maryland hotels. This change allows us to make updates in real time.
  • A reminder about the computers at the desks – they are no longer the big CPUs like the old days. Look for a small black box about the size of a small book.
  • Computers. If you see any pop up ads on the computers during your shift (we have seen some saying the computer is exposed and asking to click to update) please call the IT department at 703-417-8342.
  • New Chairs. You may have noticed the new chairs. The good news is they are much more comfortable than the old chairs; the bad news is they don’t go very high. We have one high and one low chair at each checkpoint, and two new, low chairs at the baggage desks.
  • The new post-security Nursing Room in Terminal 1 is open.
  • Heater Protocol. If you’re at a baggage desk, to prevent tripping a fuse you must plug the heater into the power strip located in the little cabinet located next to the cabinet with the printer. And the heater must remain on low.
  • Have you heard of Turo? It’s a car rental service similar to AirBnB rentals. The cars belong to individuals that rent out their personal car for use. If someone comes to the desk looking for their rental car stating that it’s parked in a certain spot in one of the garages, that is a Turo rental. Please do your best to assist them by giving them directions to the garage that’s listed on their reservation confirmation.
  • Customs & Border Patrol (DCA) – The DCA office processes CARNETS ONLY with an appointment made at least 24 hours in advance. DO NOT call for any other reason.
  • Virginia Aviation Ambassador Passports: We now have the passports and have put them at both checkpoints and Terminal 1. They are in a marked plastic box with the stamp (previously in the metal box).
  • Just a reminder: if a telephone number is listed in red, it is for volunteer use only. DO NOT give it to passengers.
